1. Capacity for the company‚s Manufacturinga) Assure enough capacity for the company‚s product is available every season with direct factories (upon objectives).b) Get involved with trading companies the company works with, to validate factories selected by them. c) Review with trading companies capacity availability to manufacture shoes according to our needs.2. Samples Manufacturinga) Make sure suppliers work on time to have ready prototypes for Product Selection Team (PST).b) Once PST fixes the collection, work with suppliers to assure proper usage of approved materials.c) Make sure before PST leaves China, that all selected products have already a price not far from target pricesd) Proper follow up of sales samples manufacture to assure they are ready on time and quality approved.e) Coordination with Samples coordination in Mexico for proper transportation to Mexico3. Materials Managementa) Have a proper control of materials used each season with approvals.b) Have a file of each product bought from suppliers with all of the materials used. Properly signed by supplier and the company.c) Make research of outsoles manufacturers and other materials manufacturers to increase our materials and suppliers data-base (availability and cost)4. Production & Quality Controla) Make sure suppliers receive orders on time according to Calendar agreed with Mexico office.b) Assure suppliers acknowledge order with 48 hours and confirm orders (quantities, prices, lead times) within 2 weeks.c) Push factories to submit production schedule by factory with 30 days upon orders receiving.d) Proper follow up of production schedule advising any deviation and discussing it with suppliers staff.e) Shipments release according to the company‚s standards using QC inspection team.5. Factories Researcha) Research for potential factories that could work for the company in order to expand direct manufacturing capacity.b) Visit factories, request and quote samples.c) Test and validate factories capabilities using testing orders as needed. 6. Evaluationsa) Follow up of Vendors Compliance Program.b) Develop and put in place periodic monitoring of performance appraisal of the team workers.7. Meetings and Reports Submissionsa) Coordinate adequately meetings with suppliers and the company‚s Staff. Make meeting minutes and proper follow up.b) Periodic reports on production schedules progressc) Seasonal suppliers performance appraisal according to the Vendors Compliance Programd) Constant communication with all areas in Mexico8.
